Audie Cornish Awarded with 2023 Audio Vanguard Award
On Air Fest is proud to announce Audie Cornish as the 2023 recipient of the Audio Vanguard Award. The award presentation at the culmination of On Air Fest took place Sat Feb 25 and was followed by a career-spanning interview by with New York Magazine Editor-At-Large Kara Swisher.
Audie Cornish has been responsible for more than two decades of trailblazing, Peabody Award-winning journalism. As longtime co-host of NPR’s All Things Considered and host of Weekend Edition Sunday, and in her current role as CNN anchor, correspondent, and host of CNN Audio podcast The Assignment, Cornish’s voice has attracted creators and listeners to the audio medium in a way that has elevated the art form and left an indelible impact.

The Audio Vanguard Award recognizes a creator whose contribution to the storytelling medium has inspired a creative legacy. The award is presented each year, and accompanied by a presentation in front of a live audience of storytellers, industry insiders and fans.
